OUR INGREDIENTS

We have made quality our habit. It’s not something that we just strive for – we live by this principle every day.

While most of the things about the creative process will be forgotten, the excellence of our products and services will be remembered. 

Our mangoes are sourced directly from farms and we process them as they arrive with utmost care and sundry them to remove any moisture. We generally use kothapalli kobbari, and chinna rasalu for avakai as they have more fibre and firm flesh which holds the avakai to its pieces and gravy for a longer shelf life. Our mangoes are mostly sourced from the Andhra Pradesh region and our supply chain assures a year-long uninterrupted supply which makes us stock fresh avakai all year round.

Our chili powders are hand-pounded and we use them according to the taste. utmost care is taken and sundried as well to remove any moisture. We generally use Warangal mirchi, and Guntur mirchi for avakai as they have more spice content.

We use the big rai(mustard) for our pickles and we hand pick them from a reliable vendor who has been supplying us for years grind them in our mixers to remove the moisture and sundry them to avoid forming lumps.

The best part of avakai is the fenugreek seeds, we prefer to use powder than seeds which gives an extra kick while consuming avakai with hot rice and ghee. These fenugreek seeds are sundried and powdered to perfection to avoid lumps. These are sourced from farms from a reliable vendor.

Salt is the essential ingredient in preparing pickles, and we take good care in sourcing the rock salt for our pickles. We ground the rock salt and use it in the powder form to ensure maximum taste efficiency is achieved by mixing it properly with other ingredients.

We use cold-pressed oils for our traditional pickles and signature pickles, hence the rate. We use ground nut oil, sunflower oil, and gingerly oil in other pickles, wherever as necessary. We never use palm oil, or coconut oil in our pickles, as they change the taste of the pickle and diminish the flavor.

We take utmost care in preparing our pickles and using our ingredients, as we are on watch out for our customers health as well.
